June 2, 2014 — U.S. Electronics Inc. (USEI) announced the release of the Totoku MS55i2 monitor, a new 5MP grayscale monitor with LED backlight for mammography use.
The improved 5MP measures 21.3 inches diagonally, has native resolution of 2048 by 2560 pixels and is equipped with independent subpixel drive (ISD) technology to accept higher resolution output from modality devices to display 2048 by 7680 subpixels in ISD mode. The monitor displays 10-bit grayscale and supports both DisplayPort and DVI interfaces, exhibits a 1200:1 contrast ratio and maximum brightness of 1,200 nits. The monitor is factory-calibrated at 500 nits to support all requirements in the mammography field, including tommosynthesis.
Additional features include front luminance sensor for continuous luminance stability and simplified calibration, the ability to remotely test for DICOM (digital imaging and communications in medicine) GSDF conformance and calibrate, and ease of OSD display of the monitor’s current status regarding total operating hours, actual luminance measurement and current calibration settings.
All Totoku-brand i2 Series monitors are provided with five-year standard warranty; extended hot swap warranty is available as are other services including custom color matching of monitors.
