May 20, 2014 — Three Palm Software announced the release of the 1.7.1 version of its breast imaging workstation — WorkstationOne.
This release builds on the existing comprehensive support for mammography, with improvements in several areas. In particular, support for multi-modality printing has been added, including printing of frames from tomosynthesis images and multi-frame ultrasound images in complex page layouts; terminology has been upgraded to that from the BI-RADS 5th edition; support has been added for both generation and display of DICOM (digital imaging and communications in medicine) structured reports following the breast imaging template; image correction (for mammography and tomosynthesis images) has been made more intuitive; and there have been numerous usability enhancements.
