Company to accommodate VA’s large-scale teleradiology program
November 18 2013 — Intelerad Medical Systems, a medical imaging picture archiving and communication system (PACS), radiology information system (RIS) and workflow solutions company, announced that the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) has selected IntelePACS as the PACS for their National Teleradiology Program (NTP).
As the Veteran's Health Administration’s in-house teleradiology service, the NTP provides 24-hour teleradiology service to nationwide VA facilities.
“In deploying IntelePACS, the VA’s radiologists will benefit from a comprehensive reading and reporting platform with a single worklist, integrated voice recognition and specialty modules,” said Randall Oka, president and CEO, Intelerad.
“Our solutions’ architecture is particularly suited for highly distributed environments and proven to deliver high performance in large-scale deployments, which will be ideal for the NTP,” said Oka.
