Philips Honors Breast Cancer Awareness Month With Mobile Mammography Tour
October 8, 2013 — Philips Healthcare kicked off Breast Cancer Awareness Month at its global healthcare headquarters in Andover, Mass. As part of its campaign, Philips is driving a mammogram truck on a three-month, 10,000-mile journey to visit hospitals and clinicians in more than 13 U.S. markets.
The traveling mammogram truck is one element of Philips’ massive global, multi-year program in support of breast cancer awareness, which, in addition to early detection efforts, includes an emphasis on the facilitation of free testing for women and the support of groundbreaking international research through donations. Philips is also illuminating 100 landmark buildings in pink in markets such as South Africa, Singapore, Japan, the Philippines, Serbia, Russia, Spain, the Netherlands, the United States and Brazil.
