June 12, 2013 — Sony Electronics’ Medical Systems Division announced new support offerings for radiology monitors to be highlighted at the Society of Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) annual meeting, June 6-9, 2013, in Dallas.
Sony currently offers a five-year limited warranty and now, facilities can also take advantage of two exceptional service options under its “Hot Swap Service Program”:
- 5-year Optional Advanced Exchange Program (24-hour) — In the event of product malfunctions, Sony’s Advanced Exchange Program provides for a replacement monitor to be provided within 24-hours at no cost.
- 5-year Optional OTS (On-Time Support) Advanced Loaner Program (48-hour) — In the event of product malfunctions, the on-time Support Advanced Loaner program provides for telephone technical support and the exchange on a temporary loan basis of a new or refurbished unit with comparable functionality to that of the malfunctioning equipment until such time as Sony returns the original unit to the customer. This is especially important for those end users that need to keep the originally purchased monitor for accounting purposes.
Sony’s LMD-DM50 and LMD-DM30 high-resolution medical grade monitors feature the Independent Sub-pixel-Drive technology, making them ideal for full-field digital mammography. They provide bright, high-contrast, well-defined images for critical diagnoses. High resolution and contrast is needed to depict what can be fine micro calcifications and subtle soft-tissue masses within FFDM studies.
The Sony LMD-DM series of high-luminance, high-contrast medical displays offers well-defined images for critical diagnoses through Independent Sub-Pixel Drive technology. The displays are 510(k) cleared for use in general review of images from every modality including CR/DR, CT, MRI and full-field digital mammography (FFDM) studies. Designed for accurate display of color and monochrome images, Sony’s LMD-DM series displays offers three times the resolution of monochrome LCDs, improving visualization for aid in critical diagnoses.
