Customer input drives expansion of search-driven approach to radiology analytics

May 29, 2013 — Montage Healthcare Solutions will demonstrate the latest enhancements to its search-driven radiology business intelligence and clinical quality analytics tools, at the upcoming SIIM Annual Meeting. The latest version of Montage Search and Analytics includes numerous usability and performance enhancements, and a new clinical quality analytics package. Works-in-progress that will also be shown to gather user feedback, include Montage Signal, and a new Radiology Resident dashboard. Montage Signal, first shown as a prototype at RSNA 2012, flags report inconsistencies that degrade clinical quality and impact reimbursement. The new resident dashboard helps residency program directors and radiology residents ensure case volumes meet minimum requirements that are now mandated by the ACGME Resident Review Committee.

The search-driven approach taken by Montage Healthcare Solutions incorporates the power and simplicity of today’s search and natural language processing technologies to quickly identify and analyze valuable clinical, and operational information in the radiologist report. Decision makers are able to quickly identify actionable information, eliminating delays associated with scouring clinical files or waiting for custom reports. Research and academic organizations will also appreciate how Montage Search and Analytics speeds identification of research populations and development of teaching files. In the face of increasing legislative challenges, the radiology community must adopt tools that enable monitoring of key performance indicators. “Access to meaningful, and historically inaccessible, unstructured information enables practice leaders to maximize time spent acting on information, rather than collecting it,” says William Boonn, M.D., president of Montage Healthcare Solutions. “We provide radiologists an optimized clinical QC list and administrators a historical trend dashboard showing the big picture, all in a single application.” Much the way search technology unlocked the Internet, Montage Search and Analytics unlocks Radiology department unstructured information and helps answer clinical and operational questions that were previously impractical to ask.

Gain additional insights at SIIM by attending the Applied Learning Vendor Tie-in Session: Innovation of Analytics, Saturday, June 8, 2013, 9:45 a.m., Texas Ballroom B. William Boonn, M.D., president of Montage Healthcare, will present on the vendor panel.
