July 9, 2012 — Xmri.com and Worldrad.com, subsidiaries of leading national outsourced radiology solutions provider Usarad.com, announced a partnership with Egypt-based telemedicine company Telemed Providers to promote these specialized subsidiaries throughout the Middle East.

Xmri.com is an innovative medical imaging second-opinion service that enables patients to directly obtain expert, rapid reading of their imaging exams over the Internet. The service uses a fully automated Radiology-On-Demand platform that enables easy upload of all imaging modalities. These are interpreted by Usarad.com’s network of board-certified fellowship-trained subspecialty radiologists in the United States.

Worldrad.com is the company’s international division, which provides professional teleradiology services around the world to imaging and other medical practices experiencing a shortage of qualified radiologists similar to the gap in the U.S. market a decade ago. Worldrad.com capitalizes on the same highly qualified network of radiologists and advanced imaging technology as Xmri.com to ensure state-of-the-art image reading.

One of the Middle East’s leading teleradiology companies, Telemedproviders.com, is a similar Internet-based venture combining the most advanced Internet telemedicine platform with highly qualified radiology talent. In particular, it delivers subspecialty teleradiology exam interpretation for imaging providers and other physicians in geographic areas in need of physicians with this high level of specialized training.

In addition to online services, Telemed Providers will also be available to provide local services, including accepting exams on CD/DVD from local patients and providing translation of reports into Arabic.
