May 31, 2012 — Webahn Inc. announced the release of Accent HD, an iPad app for medical dictation with report management features. Using the OvernightScribe transcription platform, Accent HD helps physicians record dictations, review reports with simple search references, and print and manage files in multiple formats, such as PDF, RTF and text.
Accent HD offers resources that shift time away from paperwork and focuses on patient-centered care by moving with providers throughout the clinic setting. Accent HD's simple but intuitive interface allows for dictation uploads via WiFi to OvernightScribe. Files are then transcribed and posted in the clinic account. Physicians can carry the iPad with them to review archived reports and dictate immediately upon seeing a patient.
"Our goal is to provide flexible technology that moves with healthcare providers," said Vinu Nair, Webahn CEO. "Our solutions help doctors improve productivity and spend more time with patients."
Doctors can dictate and review reports in the same app, saving time and centering attention on patients. Completed reports are available to review, edit and print to iOS capable printers, as well as e-mail and fax to referring physicians. Standard features include options for letterhead and e-signature stamps in approved reports, and a complete search archive to recall old reports.
