November 30, 2011 — medQ has unveiled its Critical Test Result Management (CTRM) module, version 2.0. The module is fully automated and embedded in the Q/RIS VR-based dictation program. Radiologists will be able to assess the severity of the diagnosis and quickly contact the ordering physician to notify of the condition.
A positive confirmation methodology tracks the process from start to finish and logs all attempts until notification is confirmed. A new feature is the ability to place this final notification on the completed report to close the loop.
The guidelines of the Joint Commission and the American College of Radiology (ACR) require radiologists to have a dependable process for identifying, communicating and tracking critical test results. With the new module, radiologists will be able improve the identification and results communication protocol to the ordering physician. They can also establish an effective delivery verification documentation and auditing process.
The CTRM module is in the market now and the new and improved version will be released in the fourth quarter of 2011. The product will be on display in the company’s booth (#5500) at RSNA 2011.
