November 27, 2011 – At the Radiological Society of North American (RSNA) Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting, Agfa HealthCare will be highlighting its line of direct radiography (DR) solutions. From the new DX-D100 mobile DR unit with wireless detector, to high throughput U-arms, robotized floor mounted and overhead DR systems, Agfa HealthCare will demonstrate the company’s innovative and easily configured systems designed to meet the needs of a broad variety of applications.
DX-D 100 wireless, mobile direct digital X-ray unit is being introduced at RSNA. Agfa HealthCare’s new DX-100 with wireless detector provides great flexibility for mobile environments. The DX-D 100 with wireless detector combines full mobility with excellent image processing for high quality radiology exams that can be efficiently performed in environments such as intensive care units (ICUs), emergency departments, operating rooms or bedside examinations. Thanks to its ergonomic design, the DX-D 100 is easily moved and operated by a single person, for efficient bedside imaging. It can be used with several DR detectors, including the new wireless detector, delivering instant previews and leading-edge resolution for a broad range of general radiography X-ray studies.
The small size of the DX-D 300, with fully motorized U-arm, make the DX-D 300 easy and cost-effective to install, even in a limited space. Yet it can handle a broad range of X-ray studies, including lateral exams and full leg/full spine (FLFS) with automatic stitching.
The new DX-D 400 scalable, floor mounting solution offers a smooth upgrade path to digital and can be used with film cassettes, computed radiography (CR) and DR. Scalable configurations are possible, from an analog manual system, to a digital manual system, up to a digital automatic system with auto-positioning, auto-tracking and a tube head touch screen.
The DX-D 600 automated, ceiling-mounted direct digital X-ray room offers a complete portfolio of fully motorized, semi-automatic or manual configurations. The fully automatic system offers the latest in state-of-the-art auto-positioning technology. The versatile, ceiling-suspended DX-D 600 is equipped with dual cesium iodide (CsI) DR detectors in the wall stand and table, with optional integrated CR as well.
The DX-D 800 digital X-ray room combining fluoroscopy, radiography and direct exposures is fitted with a dynamic, portable and removable flat-panel detector. It is a multi-purpose system that allows both fluoroscopy and the broadest range of radiology exams, including full leg/full spine with automatic image stitching. The remote-controlled table positioning is programmed in each anatomic protocol, offering excellent ergonomics.
