Nucletron Oncentra ConeBeam now offers clinicians the ability to acquire a large volume of multislice CT data on a conventional simulator, providing the best of both worlds: digital fluoroscopy and CT imaging on one modality. This concept is advantageous in that it reduces space requirements and equipment costs for the department. For the first time, all radiotherapy patients can be imaged in the true treatment position, making the planning process easier, more reproducible and, therefore more accurate. ConeBeam is a tool for HDR brachytherapy imaging, and with its unique ‘swing away’ table design it allows the entire procedure to be done efficiently in one location. Complete integration with the Nucletron treatment planning and microSelectron HDR makes this the total system solution for HDR brachytherapy.
