The OxiMax MAX-FAST forehead pulse oximetry sensor often works when digit sensors fail to provide readings in patients with serious vasoconstriction.
During low perfusion, the MAX-FAST forehead sensor detects changes in SpO2 typically one to two minutes faster than digit sensors, alerting clinicians earlier to hypoxemic events. The MAX-FAST forehead sensor has Nellcor’s LoSat accuracy range (down to 60 percent SpO2) and can be used on mechanically ventilated and supine patients. The single-patient-use MAX-FAST sensor is for pediatric and adult patients weighing more than 10 kg and works exclusively with OxiMax pulse oximetry.
