The OxiMax MAX-FAST forehead pulse oximetry sensor often works when digital sensors fail to provide readings in patients with serious vasoconstriction.
During low perfusion, the MAX-FAST forehead sensor detects changes in SpO2 typically one to two minutes faster than digit sensors, alerting clinicians earlier to hypoxemic events. The sensor has Nellcor’s LoSat accuracy range (down to 60 percent SpO2) and can be used on mechanically ventilated and supine patients. The single-patient-use sensor is for pediatric and adult patients weighing more than 10 kg and works exclusively with OxiMax pulse oximetry.
