For routine breast biopsy cases EnCor reportedly offers speed and efficiency.
Simply snap in a probe, take a sample and place a marker. EnCor’s Tri-Concave Trocar tip provides smooth and effortless penetration into dense breast tissue, according to manufacturer. A truly closed system, EnCor acquires samples through the sample aperture and then transfers them automatically to the collection chamber.
Blood, tissue and fluid remain inside the device, not on the floor, X-ray machine or biopsy system. Samples may be removed individually during the case or collected at the end. For challenging cases, EnCor offers five programmable options to customize your clinical approach. A choice of programmable sampling patterns enables precise tissue collection for lesions in difficult locations. When you choose a sampling pattern, EnCor will precisely and automatically rotate itself through the sweep pattern.
Programmable tissue collection enables dense fibrous tissue to be sampled as easily as fatty tissue. Programmable lesion targeting assists the doctor in tissue sampling even when the probe is in a sub-optimal position.
Programmable patient comfort features include automated anesthetic sweeps, instant pause and vacuum rotate for biopsy fluid management. EnCor was the first system on the market to offer 3-in-1 imaging capability for MRI, stereotactic and ultrasound. EnCor's modular platform is easily upgradeable to keep the system current.
