Alaris Systems, part of Cardinal’s point-of-care safety suite, features a scalable line of smart infusion products with wireless connectivity to the hospital’s existing IT infrastructure.
It provides a common user interface for programming infusions and monitoring to help reduce IV complexity at the point of care.
Cardinal’s point-of-care technology also includes automated dispensing cabinets and bedside bar code verification systems, which all communicate seamlessly with one another. This technology will reportedly make medication workflow for clinicians simpler and safer by eliminating many of the hand-offs that lead to mistakes.
