Codonics will showcase its complete image distribution solution including the Virtua XR at ASTRO 2007.
From film to color paper, grayscale paper, CD and DVD, the Codonics multimedia solution gives hospitals and imaging and oncology centers a way to provide professional patient consultation tools to their referring physicians and market their practice, according to manufacturer.
To support treatment planning, Codonics’ photographic, edge-to-edge color images are reportedly significantly less expensive than film. Grayscale paper comes in a variety of sizes and can be viewed without a light box.
The Virtua XR Medical Disc Publisher is reportedly the world’s fastest medical disc recording system at one disc per minute and over 60 CDs or 30 DVDs per hour.
Designed for high-volume imaging applications such as breast MR, PET/CT, MRA and CTA, the XR has two 50-disc input bins, holding 100 CDs, 100 DVDs or 50 of each. Virtua XR boasts two high-speed CD/DVD drives providing increased throughput and redundancy.
