The Gelli-Roll reportedly offers the benefits of two different products, combining patient temperature management and tissue pressure reduction in one reusable product.
The product includes a Plasti-Pad warming blanket encapsulated within Akton gel. This combination product when used with a Norm-O-Temp, Blanketrol or Hemotherm before, during or after surgery effectively provides patient warming and pressure reduction, according to its manufacturer.
