Arizant Healthcare Inc. introduced its solution for helping keep clinicians warm and comfortable, the Solor vest, at the 2007 American Society of Anesthesiologists annual meeting in San Francisco, Oct. 14-17.
Clinicians have long remarked about feeling cold as a result of working in sometimes chilly clinical settings. The Solor vest is designed with clinician comfort in mind. Using warming technology powered by a rechargeable lithium ion battery, the vest features two temperature settings. A single battery charge lasts up to six hours, and additional batteries are available separately so users can easily swap out a depleted battery for a fully-charged unit.
The Solor vests mobile warming technology reportedly allows clinicians to maintain freedom of movement. It is latex free, features a fleece-free outer shell and is machine washable.
