HealthSouth Taps Megadyne as Sole Electrosurgical Products Supplier for Surgery Centers

Birmingham, AL-based HealthSouth Corp. chose Megadyne Medical Products Inc. to supply its group of outpatient surgery centers with electrosurgical products, effective immediately. Under the three-year agreement, Draper, UT-based Megadyne becomes the exclusive, sole-source supplier of such products as electrosurgical generators, electrodes, smoke evacuators and a variety of accessories and peripheral products. HealthSouth plans to integrate Megadyne products into its surgery center purchasing portfolio with a goal of 90 percent contract compliance after implementation.
