U.S. Army Chooses Hologic for Major CAD Purchases

February 28, 2007 – Hologic, Inc. (HOLX), provider of imaging and interventional systems directed towards women’s health, recently announced the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Agency (USAMMA), Fort Detrick, MD, selected Hologic for all mammography computer-aided detection (CAD) units the Army will purchase in 2007.

Orders recently received consist of five R2’s ImageChecker Dmax Ultra systems, five ImageChecker DX systems and three additional Checkmate Ultra display units. The CAD systems will be installed in Army teaching medical centers and large and small Army community hospitals throughout the U.S. and Europe.
