August 17, 2007 - DocuSys Inc., a leading provider of anesthesia information management systems (AIMS) and drug management systems, announced the appointment of two healthcare IT veterans to its senior management staff.
Robert E. Watson is the company’s new president and chief executive officer (CEO). Joseph E. Heins has joined the company as executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO). Robert Hanson, who previously served as president and CEO, is now vice chairman.
Watson brings more than 25 years of experience as a senior executive in the healthcare software industry. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA in Health Policy Studies and Information and Library Science from Syracuse University.
As COO, Heins is responsible for DocuSys’ engineering, regulatory, quality assurance, product management, implementation, and support organizations. He has nearly 20 years of diverse upper management experience in the healthcare industry, including strategic planning/business development, product management, operations and sales/marketing.
Heins holds a Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of the Pacific, School of Pharmacy, Stockton, California, and a post-graduate residency in Clinical Administration from the Medical University of South Carolina.
