August 17, 2007 — University General Hospital announced that it has been designated as a Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence by the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
This designation recognizes surgical programs with demonstrated track record of favorable outcomes in bariatric surgery.
To earn the Center of Excellence designation, University General Hospital underwent a rigorous process during which all aspects of the program’s surgical processes were closely examined and data on surgical outcomes was reviewed and analyzed.
