August 21, 2007 — The Medical Group Management Association (MGMA) 2007 Annual Conference, to be held in Philadelphia Oct. 28-31, is giving thousands of conference attendees the opportunity to connect personally and professionally via a new social networking tool prior to the conference.
The introNetworks tool will provide more than 3,000 group practice leaders and 400 exhibitors an online community before, during and after the conference, which draws the largest networking assembly of medical group practice leaders
Participants can build personal profiles and interact with one another. Once registered for the conference, an attendee can build an online profile that contains both professional and personal information, including his/her practice specialty, areas of interest, and local sites they want to visit during the conference.
The electronic tool also offers attendees a secure forum to request information from conference exhibitors.
In addition to the online networking tool, attendees can connect with their professional community through other channels. New MGMA members and first-time conference attendees have access to a networking lounge and a specialized reception. All attendees can take advantage of various popular receptions and medical-specialty networking lounges.
