October 3, 2007 - Symx Technologies said Oct. 3 it hopes to increase patient safety in hospitals with RFID by incorporating its Symx ATLAS into Microsoft’s newly launched BizTalk Server 2006 R2.
Symx employs Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006 R2 to develop an automated and adaptive inventory visibility and managed workflow solution. Hospitals can utilize the Symx ATLAS (Asset Tracking Location Accountability System) to enable RFID data access, management and integration. The Symx ATLAS uses active RFID to deliver real-time location and process automation for healthcare organizations and its patients, clinicians, staff and equipment.
The company says ATLAS is designed to automatically monitor assets and workflows to reduce costs and improve patient safety and thwart the potentially dangerous impact of medical errors.
