October 9, 2007 — Royal Philips Electronics and 3M Health Information Systems recently announced that Philips’ speech recognition engine, SpeechMagic, will be integrated into 3M’s document creation suite of products, allowing Philips to further accelerate its growth in healthcare speech recognition.
3M customers will be provided with front-end and backend speech recognition, designed to significantly reduce document turnaround time and transcription costs, while leveraging 3M’s innovative voice management system, flexible document creation tools and automated document distribution solutions, according to the company.
