May 19, 2008 - Arizant Healthcare Inc. showcased its Lithotomy underbody blanket (Model 585) at ASCs 2008 last week.
The blanket is designed to warm patients undergoing procedures involving the pelvic cavity, including C-sections, colorectal surgery, TUR’s and others requiring peritoneal, abdominal or low limb access. The Lithotomy Underbody blanket is positioned on the procedure table before the patient arrives. This design provides forced-air warming made to minimizes blanket-clinician interference, warm in high and low lithotomy positions as well as supine positioning and allows full peritoneal and abdominal access as well as allowing full unrestricted access to the patient.
The company will also feature its Spinal Underbody blanket, designed to address the needs of warming spinal surgery patients. The blanket can be placed on the table before the patient arrives to the operating theatre and allows for full visualization and adjustment of all patient supports and pads. The Spinal Underbody blanket reportedly provides full access to the patient while helping to prevent unintended patient hypothermia.
