May 19, 2008 - At ASCs 2008, STERIS will feature its Surgimax Surgical Table, designed to be a cost-effective easy-to-use table for surgical, ambulatory care and outpatient surgical centers.
The Surgimax has a height range of 23.6 to 35.4 inches, which is favorable for facilities performing minimally invasive surgeries and ophthalmic surgeries, said STERIS. The low profile base and cantilevered table top design reportedly allow for C-arm access.
The table is designed to accommodate even the heaviest patients, including up to 1,100 pounds with patient centered over the column.
The hand control allows for motorized movements including up/down height adjustment, trendelenburg/reverse, right/left tilt, return to level, back section articulation, leg section articulation and floor lock/unlock.
The company said other features include maximize foot space at the base of the table for surgeons and large double swivel castors to provide excellent mobility.
