June 11, 2008 – Kryptiq this week said GreenField Health has implemented Microsoft HealthVault Web-based personal health record connectivity using Kryptiq’s Connect IQ Patient Portal and Secure Messaging solutions.
GreenField Health, a nationally recognized consulting group and medical clinic in Portland, OR, is using Connect IQ to enable patients to exchange information between their doctor’s office and their HealthVault account. Kryptiq said this is the first live implementation of connectivity between a clinical practice and Microsoft HealthVault.
Kryptiq’s Connect IQ suite now allows patients to save secure messages and associated healthcare information to their HealthVault account. Patients may also view personal clinical information stored in HealthVault, such as blood pressure values or medications, and send this information directly to their physician via secure messaging. Since Kryptiq’s secure messaging is integrated with GreenField’s EMR, patient communications can then be processed within the physician’s existing workflow.
“We’ve experienced a great deal of success employing Kryptiq’s Patient Portal to facilitate simple and secure communications between GreenField patients and physicians,” said Charles M. Kilo, M.D., MPH, CEO of GreenField Health. “By integrating with Microsoft HealthVault, Kryptiq now empowers our patients with a platform for storing that data, and a means to share it with other care providers who are also part of the Connect IQ network.”
While GreenField is the first customer to implement this new Microsoft HealthVault connectivity, Kryptiq’s more than 1,200 physician practice customers will have access to the technology as a standard part of Kryptiq’s offering, beginning next month.
