July 16, 2008 - Orthoview today announced that its orthopedic templating software has been selected for use throughout the Caritas Christi Health Care network of acute care hospitals in New England.
OrthoView provides orthopedic surgeons with a singular library of digital templates for joint replacement and trauma procedures, and special toolsets for limb deformity correction and pediatric assessment. Its digital template library includes thousands of templates from a wide range of orthopedic partners including: Zimmer, DePuy, Biomet Orthopedics, Smith & Nephew, Synthes and many more.
Caritas Christi, a comprehensive, integrated, health care delivery network providing community-based medicine and tertiary care, is using OrthoView as an integrated part of its PACS in all six of its Massachusetts hospitals. This arrangement enables any orthopedic surgeon to template an upcoming procedure from any location, such as his/her office or any hospital computer, on the Caritas Christi network.
Developed with the help of orthopedic specialists, clinicians and radiographers, OrthoView can be implemented as a stand-alone application or integrated into many of the world's most well-known PACS including: Agfa, Siemens, Philips, McKesson, GE Healthcare, FUJIFILM Medical Systems, Amicas, and several others. OrthoView has been integrated into Caritas Christi's McKesson Horizon Radiology System (HRS) Medical Imaging PACS.
