October 8, 2008 - SurgiCount Medical said they implemented their SurgiCount Medical’s Computer Assisted Sponge Counting System for the first time in a New York hospital.
SurgiCount’s Safety-Sponge System consists of individually bar-coded surgical sponges and portable scanner that validates traditional hand sponge counts and will be implemented across all services, thus offering the same standard of care to all of their patients, said the company.
