February 16, 2011 – Ziehm Imaging has received Frost & Sullivan's European Product Leadership Award 2011 in the interventional radiology category.
The Ziehm Vision RFD mobile C-arm ranked strongly in all assessment categories and led the field in terms of functionality, innovation, market acceptance, customer value and quality. The system uses high-resolution, distortion-free flat-panel technology that allows physicians to do procedures that were previously only possible with fixed angiography X-ray systems.
In light of the growing popularity of minimally invasive cardiovascular procedures, the decision from Frost & Sullivan analysts underscores the increasing value of mobile C-arms in hybrid operating rooms. It delivers optimum image quality during complex interventions over an almost unlimited period of time. The C-arm offers the advantage of flexibility, mobility and significantly lowers the investment cost typically required for a fixed system in a hybrid operating room (OR).
The European Product Leadership Award 2011 is the fourth prize Ziehm Imaging received from Frost & Sullivan. The company received awards in several categories in 2006, 2007 and 2009.
