October 25, 2010 – A new 24-inch wide-screen display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 widescreen offers more contrast, better luminance and a wider viewing angle than off-the-shelf liquid crystal display (LCD) screens. Barco's MDRC-2124 will be on display at RSNA 2010.
The MDRC-2124 is equipped with professional medical-grade LCD technology and comes as a DICOM Part-14 calibrated solution "out-of-the box" and bundled with the company’s on-line MediCal QAWeb software. The software enables displays to be remotely managed through a single browser interface. This feature provides administrators with one-click remote access to display settings, allowing them to deploy an image consistency policy across an entire hospital site.
To facilitate installation and replacement of legacy monitors, it is equipped with a variety of interfaces, such as VGA, DVI and DisplayPort. The screen automatically switches to ‘sleep mode’ when not being used, resulting in markedly lower energy consumption and increased lifetime of the LCD backlights.
