July 14, 2010 -- Philips Radiation Oncology has launched a project to triple its engineering staff dedicated to cancer care technology solutions by July 2012. The project includes plans to more than double its workforce in the Madison area by July 2011.
Philips is currently looking for candidates who would be responsible for new development and enhancements to Philips radiation treatment planning systems and related software.
Philips has been a leader in radiation oncology simulation and treatment planning solutions for more than a decade. Part of Philips Healthcare since 2000 and developed at the University of Wisconsin, Philips Pinnacle3 radiation treatment planning system provides critical solutions that help to increase accuracy, flexibility and safety for cancer treatments. Used by cancer facilities worldwide, Philips radiation oncology technologies provide potential time and cost savings for clinicians and facilities, as well as shortened treatment times for patients.
