Siemens Healthcare's ACUSON X150 uses harmonic imaging (THI) for improved image quality.
May 17, 2010 - As medical imaging technology becomes smaller and more compact, it become even handier at the point-of-care.
Siemens Healthcare presented at the 58th Annual Clinical Meeting of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) in San Francisco the 2.0 release of its ultra-compact ACUSON X150 ultrasound system for obstetrics (OB) imaging.
The new women’s imaging solution is designed to offer enhanced image quality and a comprehensive spectrum of clinical features and applications.
The CH5-2 Hanafy lens transducer with phase inversion tissue harmonic
imaging (THI) aims to improve image quality and resolution at a depth of 28 cm, without having to apply excessive pressure. Customizable OB descriptors add or remove anatomy in images enhanced with 3-Scape real-time 3-D imaging technology. Digital imaging and communications in medicine (DICOM) OB structured reporting offers transfer of follicle
measurements to off-the-system workstations for calculation, reporting and archiving.
