The Canon CXDI-60C Compact Portable Digital Radiography System with the RadPRO Digital Solutions has a cesium iodide (CsI) scintillator. The crystals that allow optimal light channeling properties for effective X-ray absorption and high signal-to-noise performance, providing less X-ray dosage to the patient, which the company says is ideal for the NICU, pediatrics, and critically ill patients.
The thin, lightweight and robust 9 by 11 inch sensor panel weighs 5.5 pounds and is less then an inch thick (0.9 inches). The detachable sensor cable enables easy room-to-room installation from multiple locations such as the patient’s bedside or wheelchair, trauma or ICU, and fits into most neonatal incubator trays.
The DR integration of the Canon CXDI-60C flat panel detector and the RadPRO 40KW Digital Mobile, as well as single and dual panel digital upgrade kits for AMX 4/4+ portables helps improve workflow, patient throughput and patient care in the NICU department by allowing technologists to safely and consistently capture high-quality digital images, minimize patient disturbances and eliminate the urgency of moving critically ill infants from bed to bed.
The RadPRO Digital Solutions have been specifically paired with the Canon CXDI-60 series digital radiography multipurpose flat panel detectors, to ensure they are portable, lightweight, durable, have a large imaging area (9 by 11 inches), and offer high-quality diagnostic images
with 3-5 second image acquisition after exposure.
The system was released in 2009.
