Double Black Imaging is exhibiting the latest release of their X-CAL Calibration software Suite with its Upgraded P-Series line of LCDs.

Double Black Imaging is including their newest release of the X-Cal Calibration software suite, DBI’s proprietary package for Automatic DICOM calibration and display quality assurance, with all WIDE “P” Series LCD Systems. This allows for complete QA of their LCDs and Front DICOM calibration. X-Cal consists of two components, a local agent package and a network administrative package.

Paired together with their displays, this software and hardware combination allows each display to be remotely calibrated to the DICOM gray scale display function and monitored from a central workstation, send notifications to the central workstation or administrator when the LCD requires service and allow the administrator to adjust and perform DICOM 3.14 Calibration on each LCD from the remote location. Other functions X-Cal offers include: automatic calibration and conformance tests, graphical results, table formatted reporting of data for future use, the ability to schedule intervals between auto-calibrations, allows for compensation of ambient light, ability to adjust luminance and other workstation settings, the user may view and save historical data on white level, black level, calibration and conformance test for JCAHO/medical traceability. Double Black Imaging is including both pieces of this software package free of charge with the purchase of their WIDE LCD systems.

The P-Series LCD line consists of a 2MP Monochrome and High-Bright Color, a 3MP Monochrome and High-Bright Color and a 5MP Monochrome LCD for Mammography. This line features higher brightness levels on each LCD, Digital uniformity Control, 12-Bit processing, a retractable front sensor for true DICOM calibration, a backlight sensor for luminance control and bonded protective panels. DBI bundles these LCDs with a high speed graphic controller (PCI-X or PCI-e) as well as includes X-CAL calibration software.

Double Black Imaging develops X-Cal proprietary display system calibration software to bundle with WIDE LCD Systems and Graphic Controllers and DICOMetrix PACS Performance Monitoring software. DBI is dedicated to developing unique, innovative imaging solutions that make imaging more efficient.
