August 12, 2009 - Shimadzu Medical Systems USA will debut the Mobile Art Evolution 12 and the convertible-to-digital DR Mobile Art Evolution 32 in booth 815 at the AHRA Annual Meeting being held in Las Vegas, Nev., from August 9-13, 2009.
Both models of the Mobile Art Evolution have a compact design to provide easy handling and maneuverability, especially in restrictive and crowded ward environments. A power-assist function enables its operator to control movement of the Mobile Art Evolution with light pressure to the drive handle, enabling the unit to be turned and maneuvered with precision and minimal effort. A new silent motor reduces driving noise, but if the operator wishes its presence known in a crowded hall or room, a safety alarm feature can be activated when it is in motion. Shimadzu’s soft-touch bumper design automatically stops the shock-resistant unit when even the slightest pressure is detected.
The Mobile Art Evolution 32 has 32 kW maximum power output for superior image quality. It ensures blur-free images and short exposure times, features that are ideal for children and adult patients who find it difficult to keep motionless. It is an ideal investment for a healthcare facility, because this model can be converted from analog to digital DR X-ray functionality.
The Mobile Art Evolution standard delivers reliable, basic functionality and delivers superb performance with its 12.5 kW of power. Both models feature:
•An easy-to-read display of the calculated or measured X-ray exposure dose
•A dose calibration function to display the distance from the X-ray tube focal point to the patient to keep radiation dose as
low as reasonably achievable
•An illuminated indicator showing Ready Up or Exposure Status on both the front of the collimator and the optional
illuminated hand switch, an ideal feature when operating the units remotely within a ward environment
•An emergency radiology function activating when the unit's battery is low
•A reliable counterbalance system supporting fine positioning and multidirectional radiography
•An inch-mover button to minimally position and move the unit backwards and forwards
•High focal point arm specification, as a custom feature
