April 1, 2009 - McKesson Corp. reported on Tuesday, March 31, that its Executive Vice President and President of McKesson Technology Solutions Pamela J. Pure departed from the company, effective March 30. The company did not give any explanation, and no replacement was named.
“Deep and experienced management team within McKesson Technology Solutions will continue to lead the businesses in the segment, including McKesson Provider Technologies, McKesson Health Solutions, RelayHealth and McKesson’s International Operations Group.”
John Hammergren, McKesson’s chairman and CEO, said, without further explanation, that “Pam has the sincere thanks of everyone at McKesson for her leadership in building McKesson Technology Solutions into what it is today, and I look forward to working closely with the segment’s outstanding leadership team to achieve even greater results in the future.”
Pure joined McKesson in April 2001, from IDX Systems, and within eight months had been promoted to the new position of COO of McKesson’s Information Solutions business unit. She’d been executive vice president and president of Technology Solutions since April 2004.
James Larkin, a company spokesman, indicated that it would have no further comment about the reasons for Pure’s departure.
The company said that McKesson Technology Solutions’ leadership team will report to Hammergren on an interim basis.
