The combination of a broadcast procedural demonstration, information sessions with renowned radiologists and a poster presentation will provide attending physicians with opportunities to learn about the latest techniques in enteral feeding tube placement.
“We are extremely excited about our presence at this year’s SIR meeting and to share knowledge about radiologic placement of feeding tubes through unique visual demonstrations that no sales materials or traditional marketing activities can replicate,” said John Amat, vice president of global sales and marketing, Kimberly-Clark Health Care. “The devices that we’re featuring at this show can offer very real and compelling benefits for both the interventional radiologist and the patient, and we feel the most powerful way to communicate those benefits is to show the device in action through live demonstration.”
Live broadcast of feeding tube placement procedure Kimberly-Clark Health Care has teamed up with Michael Miller, M.D., of Duke University Medical Center and OR-LIVE, a surgical broadcast solutions company, to premiere an interactive webcast at the Kimberly-Clark booth (216). The webcast showsa patient demonstration of an innovative solution to enteral feeding tube placement facilitated with the Kimberly-Clark MIC, MIC-KEY Introducer Kit.
The procedure highlights the use of resorbable sutures, a key feature of the Kimberly-Clark MIC, MIC-KEY Introducer Kit, which eliminates the need for the patient to undergo a second procedure to remove the sutures and the risk of complications that may be associated with leaving sutures in place, such as gastric perforation, skin infection and GI bleeding.
