February 18, 2009 - Matrox Graphics Inc., a manufacturer of specialized graphics solutions, has an agreement with FIMI Medical Display Solutions, a Royal Philips Electronics company, to ship Matrox Xenia Series display controller boards for use with the MML2032 and MML2152 grayscale medical LCD displays designed to meet PACS workstation user needs.
According to Matrox the board enables high-quality images, long life-cycles and advanced features and functions efficient workflow in PACS and mammography applications.
“As medical imaging workstation technology evolves, users demand a PCI Express board solution for PACS workstations,” said Carlo Martignoni, account manager medical displays, FIMI Philips.
Matrox Xenia is a native PCI Express single-slot board with all-digital, triple-monitor output and can drive many display configurations. Xenia PRO supports resolutions from under 1MP up to 8MP, with up to 1GB of on-board memory, and features new technology to ensure optimum display calibration (via Matrox DLC and 8/10/13-bit gamma LUTs).
With additional development potential for increasing hardware-accelerated performance via hardware LUTs, multiple window IDs, and additional hardware features, Xenia Series is a flexible and expandable solution for medical imaging developers and integrators looking for leading edge technology.
