im3D is applying CAD methodologies for use in screening and diagnosing a variety of cancer pathologies including breast cancer. Its CAD-BREAST MRI is reportedly an innovative diagnostic and therapy monitoring prototype that applies CAD precision and accuracy to DCE-MRI results. Not only do im3D’s proprietary CAD algorithms reportedly help improve the specificity of DCE-MRI, CAD-BREAST MRI is an intelligent system that automatically calculates and processes the diagnostic parameters used to identify (morphologically) and diagnose a potential tumor in an objective, precise and consistent manner. In other words, CAD-BREAST MRI is able to quantify internationally-accepted measurement standards to deliver not only objective and quantifiable scores but also a mathematical probability of the type of tumor (malignant or benign).
