Release 8.2 software for DR Systems' Unity RIS/PACS platform features expanded applications on client-supplied hardware, critical results tracking and timesaving DICOM structured reports.
New application capabilities in Release 8.2 include critical results tracks critical values and tests. Audits timeliness of reporting results to responsible caregivers. DICOM structured reports automatically captures DICOM data such as ultrasound measurements from the modality and transfers it to the exam report, increasing the radiologist’s accuracy and saving time for the technologist. CS Series Workstations provides sites with the ability to use the full range of Unity RIS/PACS software features on client-supplied hardware.
Peer review evaluates prior exam reports and diagnoses completed by other physicians in the practice.
Voice recognition capabilities in the Instant Reporter module now include the ability to access Dragon macro features plus are designed to improve speed, utilizing 64-bit systems. Instant Reporter is DR Systems’ complete integrated PACS reporting solution.
Other features include unity access via enterprise-based and physician office EMRs (electronic medical record), Multiple Volume Support for greater system scalability and improved Sentinel monitors with the real-time performance of the RIS/PACS application as well as workflow activities.
Release 8.2 will be available to the general RIS/PACS marketplace in the first quarter of 2009.
