August 26, 2008 – After Canon U.S.A. unveiled the Canon CXDI-60G, its new digital radiography (DR) system at AHRA, Canon Europe announced the system is now available in Europe.
The Canon CXDI-60G is a compact, lightweight, portable model, which extends the range of examinations that can be completed using digital radiography equipment. Weighing 2.7 kg, the lightweight slim-body CXDI-60G offers an effective imaging area of 234 x 284 mm, accommodating a diverse range of applications, including the X-raying of hands, elbows, feet, and knees, among the most common orthopedic examinations. The technology is used in a wide variety of applications, including pediatric intensive care, veterinary radiography, archaeology and forensics.
The new Canon CXDI-60G delivers high-digital image quality and portability, for the flexible establishment of radiographic suites of any size or budget. The model’s detachable sensor cable is designed to enable easier room-to-room installation.
The CXDI-60G provides a small detector for examining a variety of extremities such as the skull and hip, and its portable design allows its use for incubators in special care pediatric units, tabletop exams in trauma and accident and Emergency departments, where. The CXDI-60G is available through medical systems specialist distributors in Europe.
The Canon CXDI-60G digital radiography system has been slated to go on sale in Europe in August 2008.
