August 12, 2008 – Imaging Dynamics Co. Ltd announced today that Doctors Hospital at Renaissance (DHR) In Edinburg, TX has begun several planned IDC installations with the purchase of IDC’s 1600 Plus X-Series DR system with the X3C detector.
The 437-bed complete acute care facility plans to use the DR system to conduct chest X-rays for surgery pre-screening.
“We have extensive experience with all types of radiography systems, including conventional X-ray, computed radiography and digital radiography systems,” explained Melissa Peña Flores, DHR radiology director. “IDC’s digital radiography system is not only faster, more efficient and easier to use than film or CR, the image quality is also superior.”
IDC’s X-Series of direct capture technology replaces conventional film-based X-rays, reportedly providing a cost-effective alternative to cassette based film or computed radiography (CR) systems. Each IDC DR solution is said to provide high-resolution radiographic images in the digital format required for today’s electronic medical record networks, all without the use of film, environmentally harmful chemicals, cassettes or expensive imaging plates.
