May 29, 2008 – IDC was awarded a contract by the central purchasing unit for medical hospitals in Uttrakahand, India for five X-Series 1600 DR systems with X4C imaging detectors, the single largest purchase ever placed for DR equipment by the government in India, reportedly representing an active commitment to upgrade patient care throughout the country.

The X-Series 1600 utilizes IDC’s proprietary Very High Density (VHD) CCD-based technology that is the result of more than 10 years of engineering research and development. The 1600 is a complete DR solution with a floor mounted, multi-axis positioning device, attached X-ray tube, collimator and generator.

The 1600 features include 4.6 lp/mm, digitizing at 14 bits per pixel, imaging in under six seconds and a three-year extended warranty (five year extended).

IDC is a medical technology company in the field of digital radiography (DR) technology. IDC’s X-Series of direct capture technology replaces conventional film-based X-rays and provides a cost-effective alternative to cassette based film or computed radiography (CR) systems.
