November 20, 2007 - Radlink Inc. will introduce at RSNA 2007 three CR Pro machines, including the CR Pro 2000, designed for the OEM market, and a ThinPACS, a PACS offering designed and priced specifically for the private practice environment.
The CR Pro 2000 features a Computed Radiography (CR) reader created with two markets in mind: the OEM market, for use as a CR appliance with digital radiography, as well as distributed applications for end users with smaller budgets. The CR Pro 2000 has an upgrade path that provides all of the capabilities of the entire Radlink family of imaging systems.
The CR Pro 2100 is based on a "sealed fiber optics" design that reportedly maximizes transfer efficiency in private physician offices where low-power X-ray equipment is common. The CR Pro 2200 combines a PACS with up to 10 Terabytes of secure storage inside a self-contained Radlink CR system.
ThinPACS is a stand-alone PACS offering specifically built and scaled for the private practice market. ThinPACS reportedly provides the components of a hospital-sized PACS to the smaller private practice and imaging operation environment.
