October 11, 2007 – Canon U.S.A. Inc. recently announced the installation of its two-thousandth digital radiography (DR) system, marking more than 5,000 DR system installations worldwide by the Canon family of companies.
The Canon CXDI-40EG General DR system provides an imaging area of 17-by-17 inches and reportedly lets users capture desired anatomical views for both large and small format X-rays in portrait or landscape orientation without having to rotate the detector unit. According to the company, this system can retrofit onto almost any new or existing bucky table, upright tilting wall stand, universal or ceiling suspended multipositioning unit.
