July 19, 2007 - Gammex Inc. recently introduced its new addition to the high quality ultrasound scanners testing tools, the Gammex 1430GS LE Phantom, designed to provide sonographers with advanced design features that allow for both Doppler and B-mode ultrasound system tests in one unit.

This self-contained system provides a broad range of stable and pulse flow rates and test objects. The enhanced microprocessor-based flow controller meter produces accurate flow rates from 1 to 10 ml/sec corresponding to 0 to 150 cm/sec measurable velocities with a 1 percent FS accuracy.

The Gammex 1430GS LE is based on the proven 404GS LE model that incorporates a high quality tissue mimicking gel which reportedly provides a smoother background texture for measuring image quality of small parts and intra-cavity ultrasound scanning systems. The new system is powered by a built-in Li/ion rechargeable battery and is an all-in-one, user friendly, small, compact and portable system.

Two 4-millimeter ID vessels in an 18-inch uninterrupted flow circuit are used for a diverse set of Doppler quality tests to meet the FDA and IEC recommendations for Doppler measurement systems.
