July 17, 2007 – CyberLogic’s QRT 2000, reportedly a low cost ultrasound system designed for bone quality screening and ideal for emergency rooms, wellness centers and women's centers is expected to gain FDA clearance soon after its 2007 availability.
CyberLogic is reportedly developing the QRT 2000 in phases. The first phase is a handheld, battery powered bone densitometer. Because the systems uses the heel as an indicator, the test can be performed by a physician, technician or nurse and may be used in almost any hospital, outpatient clinic or physician's office.
