April 24, 2007 – Teramedica and Aurora Health Care announced that TeraMedica’s Evercore - Clinical Information Manager will be implemented in order to integrate Aurora’s medical images and distribute them to health care providers in a lightweight format within the Cerner Power Chart Module of Aurora’s Electronic Health Record (EHR). This will allow the provider to see, in electronic format – both the medical image and the text report interpretation of the image – in the patient’s medical record.
The implementation of TeraMedica’s solution is designed to assist Aurora Health Care in achieving streamlined data integration and efficiently coalesce clinical objects in a central clinical content manager.
“We needed to deliver an independent lightweight image set to all desktops across the enterprise, within the context of our resident EHR,” said Judy Murphy vice president, Information Services, Aurora Health Care. She added, “The Evercore product allows us to quickly identify and retrieve all patient-centric images independent of modality, PACS or physical site. Our primary care physicians, nurses and specialists can improve patient care by rapidly identifying all images for a patient from throughout the network, while accessing the Electronic Health Record. In addition, the system delivers valuable operational efficiencies to our organization.”
